Benedict's Daley Bread Mix
The Launch Evening for Benedict's Daley Bread Mix was introduced by Maungaraki Views editor Dr Hugh Frostick,
was attended by about 40 people who were able to see George's bread makers in action,
and were able to compare the texture of commercial white bread with a fresh loaf - using your fingers,
the former presses down to almost nothing as the air is squeezed out, whereas a traditional loaf springs back.
After a little talk, during which samples of the fresh white bread and the currant loaf and tasty cheese variations were tasted,
George answered people's questions about machines and recipes.
By the end of the evening, the initial batch of 50 mixes was almost sold out, and many of those without bread machines went away intending to buy!
