One great advantage for the community is that Benedict's stocks some wonderful cheeses and delicacies from the likes of On Trays in Petone, which are needed for the culinary creations. So the food connoisseurs amongst us can buy these items locally in the General Store without travelling down the hill.

Mercer cheese, a regular winner in the NZ cheese awards has only one supplier in Wellington - yes, Benedict's is one of the few places that Albert Alferink will allow to sell his cheese other than his own shop up in Mercer, Waikato!

And, as with everything, we try to bring our own personal touch and service, and to answer individual requests, for instance the local gentleman who likes very thick cut steaks.
