Benedict's Fresh Homemade Pies

Every pie at Benedict's Café looks individual as they are all hand made on the premises - but every one has the same great taste! Mike says "There are some pretty good pies in the area - so we have to make a really special ones!" - and the locals certainly agree!

The Dominion Post (August 12th 2010) was searching for the great pies in the region, and the perfect pie at the top of the list of reader's recommendations was from Benedicts. One correspondent, Linda Moore, explained the attraction:
"The great taste, texture, they can be cut without dissolving, good size, heaps of meat compared to gravy, top quality of meat and a variety of flavours." Thanks Linda!

Another regular has compared for us the Benedict's steak pie with a good, well known mass-produced brand. He said:
"A picture's worth a thousand words, but can't of course reveal the taste - that's up to you! Here is the Benedict's steak pie alongside one of the better nationally-distributed steak pies before my children tucked in:"
